As a Quality Technician, you will join our Aftermarket Quality team, working both hands-on and by coordinating in-house or third-party resources to conduct repairs and resolve quality issues reported by retailers and customers. Your role includes analyzing problems, leading or supporting root cause investigations, and implementing corrective actions at customer sites, factories, suppliers, or from the office. The number of travel days per year may vary, but typically amounts to around 10 days and can occur at short notice. The mission is clear: strengthen customer satisfaction, reduce quality-related costs, and drive sustainable improvements across our processes.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and analyze incoming cases from customers and retailers, create action plans, share lessons learned internally and externally, and when needed, lead cross-functional teams.
Support and accelerate problem-solving across departments, even when cases are handed over.
Ensure customer cases are handled in a timely manner and that quality measures are properly implemented and documented.
Implement corrective actions independently or in collaboration with others, and verify that permanent improvements are achieved.
Present extensive cases involving significant changes or cost impact including root cause, consequences, costs, and action plans for decision in relevant meetings.
Support purchasing and other internal functions with quality-related input during decision-making processes.
Contribute proposals to improve processes and products.
Establish and lead meetings within the department’s area of responsibility.
Support product development projects when required.
Assist the factory with start-ups, corrective measures, and delivery control when necessary.
At short notice, carry out or coordinate service work, inspections, and analyses within the department’s scope.
Participate in and, when required, lead customer meetings to review quality matters.
Skills and Experience
Technical qualification or equivalent experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in a quality technician, quality inspector, or similar role, preferably within manufacturing, engineering, or maritime industries.
Experience with the use of measuring equipment (callipers, micrometers, gauges) and quality inspection tools is highly desirable.
Understanding of quality assurance methodologies, standards, and continuous improvement processes.
Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and systematic approach to work.
Proficiency in using digital systems and Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or QMS platforms is an advantage.
Good communication skills in English; Swedish and Finnish language skills are a plus.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
